Research methodology
Every provider page is built from documentable fields only, and every claim is labelled by the evidence behind it.
What we record
We record what a service says it does, how it delivers, what it charges and what it discloses. Each field is captured with the date it was seen and a link to the source where one exists.
- Delivery method, markets covered and pricing model.
- Free trial or free tier availability, as stated by the provider.
- Public disclosures, terms and any regulatory statements found.
- Risks and limitations that follow from the service model itself.
Three evidence states
Nothing is presented as fact without a source. Independently checked means we located and dated a supporting record. Provider-reported means the claim is the provider's own and is attributed to them. Not independently verified is the default where no record exists.
What we refuse to publish
We do not publish win rates, pip totals, returns or drawdown figures that we cannot trace to a dated, checkable record. Where a provider advertises such figures, we describe the claim and label it provider-reported rather than repeating it as fact.
Updating and re-checking
Provider pages record a published date and a modified date. When a service changes its pricing, delivery or disclosures, the record is updated and the evidence date moves with it.
